Urea Assay Kit II (ab234052) is a fast, sensitive and easy
to use kit that measures urea level in various tissues/cells. It is based on
Jung's method with a modification that delivers more robust and sensitive data.
The urea is condensed with o-phthalaldehyde (OPA), followed by a reaction to
form a colored product with strong absorbance at 505 nm. The sensitivity of the
kit is 10 μM.
This urea assay kit provides an alternative to the most
popular urea assay kit Urea
Assay Kitab83362, and uses a different assay method.
This product is manufactured by BioVision, an Abcam company
and was previously called K376 Urea Colorimetric Assay Kit II. K376-100 is the
same size as the 100 test size of ab234052.
