Taurine Assay Kit (ab241040) utilizes the ability of an enzyme to convert Taurine into aminoacetaldehyde and sulfite. The produced sulfite is measured using a probe which can be detected using a microplate reader (OD 415 nm). This assay kit is simple, high-throughput compatible and can detect as low as 5 nmols of Taurine. This product is manufactured by BioVision, an Abcam company and was previously called K988 Taurine Assay Kit (Colorimetric). K988-100 is the same size as the 100 test size of ab241040.

The quality of HiYield™ Plasmid Mini Kit is test on a lot-to-lot basis. The kits are tested by isolation of plasmid DNA from 3ml culture of E.coli DH5 transformed with the plasmid pUC19(A600>2units/ml). More than 20μg of plasmid DNA was quantified with spectrophotometer.
